So where exactly is it still allowed?
That’s ridiculous. Not even a designated smoking room is allowed?
Very civilised move. We will never get this in Austria.
In Romania we’ve had this law for quite a long time. We’re not allowed to smoke inside closed areas (indoors), parks, bus stations and the likes, but we are allowed to smoke on open terraces. My mom doesn’t go to any food place which doesn’t have an outside area because she’s a smoker.
I might visit Belgium, seems to have its shit together.
I hope it will stay in Belgium and not spread further into the EU. I am a non-smoker. I will choose the company that suits my preferences. The state should take care of the necessary minimum (and do it well) and not attempt social engineering, free and independent citizens will decide for themselves what suits them.
I rarely smell the smoke from cigarets anymore. But when I do, I remember how much I hate it.
