Or… How about we just rejoin the EU and be rid of this twatty Brexit experiment

Boomers should worry more about all their triple lock slaves leaving to go work in the EU than the possibility of EU citizens coming here.

As long as they are going to pay for the privilege?

The UK needs to be just as transactional as the EU are.

Starmer ought to walk away from the deal given the UK has an unemployment crisis building (PAYE employment has shrunk by 127,000 in the last year, new graduates are struggling to land their first job).

Unless he wants to walk into the next election with an unemployment crisis (anything is possible with him).

Reminder: there are a staggering **770,000** EU citizens on benefits in the UK, costing £1bn per annum. (For context, the WFA costs £1.5 bn). The last thing Britain needs is the EU exporting *more* of their unemployed to Britain.

    5. But we’re importing too many doctors, lawyers and engineers already

Why should a deal on food checks be dependent on demanding that people be able to travel, live and work here?

The EU have a problem with youth unemployment, this is there attempt to improve that situation. I was pro-EU, but their behaviour post Brexit makes me increasingly less well disposed towards them. This is a trade deal, not about travel.

It’s a two way street if the immigration deal is severely less beneficial than the food safety deal then tell the EU where to go

Sounds like a good deal. Young people with papers from the EU could be easily and cheaply deported back if they overstay the visa.
