      “The Ottomans, for their part, were full of admiration for Scanderbeg as a model warrior. It was they who had given him the title Iskender Bey. But their admiration soon turned to trepidation when they tried to advance through the wooded gorges of Dibra. Magic powers were attributed to Scanderbeg, even after his death.
