Monarchy is morally inferior to democracy in the sense that a constitutional monarch comes from a past where they were dictators and were placed on the throne because they could murder those that tried to resist them.
Modern constitutional monarchy has the advantage of being able to deal with some quite human sides of power and society.
It can distract and partially contain the fuckers that seek glory, pomp and leadership by the strong.

Power benefits from being divided, so that the parts can exist in balance. A future democracy should respect the ceremonial power, the symbolic power, the traditional power in order to prevent trumps from taking power.

Why treat it to a five course meal then?
