I assume, a detail omitted from the article, that it was proven beyond doubt in court that the dog didn’t actually attack her and she simply randomly killed it while it was asleep?
Because if the dog did attack her, then she wouldn’t have been imprisoned for killing the dog (that would be a valid self-defence action and not illegal) but for possession of a banned type of sword.
She stabbed the poor thing whilst it slept, absolute monster.
Normal people dont stab dogs with samurai swords. She’s got a screw loose, and behind bars is the best place for her.
I dont know why, but animal cruelty in particular rubs me up the wrong way, I despise it.
There is one important detail missing from the BBC article which is included on the police’s website: “She admitted to police that she stabbed the dog while it was resting on the couch.”

Without that the BBC article might read as if she was in a self defence situation, actively struggling with the attacking dog. But that bit of info makes it clear that was not the case.
I mean, I don’t like dogs, but stabbing them to death for no reason is deranged.
There is, of course, one particular breed of dog where it’s entirely believable this woman would kill it after it attacked her.
