RTÉ reporters are suggesting this recent hint is them preparing to back Connolly. I assume they’ve been briefed in some way.
Cock-teasing us with Pearse and then pumping for Connolly would be fitting for this entire dumpster fire of a presidential election

Pearse seems to be the only logical choice, and the least presidential of the three.
I don’t think she’s going for Pearse, He’s too valuable to McDonald being the Deputy Leader in the Dáil to lose to the Áras in my eyes, would there be a worthy replacement in the Dáil? Maybe? But good help as always is hard to find so I don’t think She’d want to lose Her Deputy Leader in the Dáil
