I can’t read the article. What are the other options that they do support?

Well no one asked me. I support a 2 State solution theoretically, I just don’t think it would work.. maybe a 3 state might work better, considering the West Bank and Gaza aren’t exactly friends with each other anyway.
It still won’t work if you’ve got an Israeli government that pushes everyone’s buttons and Iran funding proxies to stir shit up.

While we cannot know for sure, we can hypothesise that the sheer brutality of the October 7 attacks shattered many British Jews’ belief in the idea that Israel could possibly live alongside an independent Palestinian state in the near future. Many British Jews now appear to believe that the security risks to Israel are simply too great.”

It won’t work if the Arab side never agree to it, as they have refused to do any of the times in the past. So the whole thing is a bit moot until they (both sides) are willing to do that.

How would a two state solution help the Arab world keep the hate up on Israel?
It won’t. Think about it.

When push comes to shove, it turns out it was always a lie.

The two-state solution looks like a fantasy at this point. There’s no contiguous territory, with something like half a million heavily-armed religious fanatics occupying the West Bank and Israel just approved another huge settlement expansion – [with the explicit goal of preventing a Palestinian state](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1j5954edlno). Does anybody believe they’d just… leave peacefully (even if Israel miraculously purged all the ethnic cleansing enthusiasts from parliament and negotiated a deal in good faith)? Or that the IDF would force them out? The West needs to seriously re-evaluate what it’s even asking for here (let alone its relationship with Israel).

A two state solution would never work, it needs to be a unitary democratic state, universal citizenship with equal rights.
