It’s a good signal of intent for the Cork Docklands as a whole, and shows that we’re not repeating the mistakes of the Dublin Docklands and insisting on a fairly boring skyline.

Construction is also ongoing up the other end at the former [Marquee site](https://www.irishexaminer.com/property/developmentconstruction/arid-41596696.html) which will have blocks up to 14 storeys, next to the recently developed Marina Park and Promanade around Pairc Uí Caoimh.
Here’s hoping we see a bit more action on the Kennedy Quay site soon.
