I feel like burden of proof should be on Owens. She made the claim that Brigitte Macron was a man, so she should be the one who has to prove her claim in the court of law.

Edit: I’m not a lawyer for a reason. The replies are showing me why.

Yeah, it’s absolute madness. But fucking those conspiracy nuts out of their last penny will sure be satisfying.

In all fairness, this specific cradle robber kind of has it coming.

The assertion is ridiculous, but being a pedo is generally a male thing so I can see how people might be confused.

Mdme Macron should not need to provide any proof. First, because then every asshole can deter any discussion by demanding such „proofs“, second because it’s not a problem even if she were born as a man. It’s nobody’s business.

Its really weird that Macron feels the needs to stoop to Owens level. Why do you care? No one is forced to prove anything. You can just ignore it. So what if a group of Americans think you married a man? How does that effect France at all? By the way, it was a Frenchmen that convinced her of this in the first place. Why are you not bringing him to court as well?

If you’re going to sue someone for libel you have to prove that what they said was untrue, that they knew it was untrue or knew of good reason to suspect it was untrue and that it caused you harm.  Also if you’re a public figure you have to prove that they intended it to cause you harm.

The alternative is that any time someone says something you don’t like you get to sue them and not have to prove anything.

I would rather live in the former world than the latter.  The Macrons won’t win this in court. They might get some out-of-court go away money.

Well… the conspiracy theorist in chief (Candace Owens) is going to have to pay them a hefty sum so it’s not about whether or not they’re powerful but rather if or not they should win the Darwin award of economics.

    8. The scary thought is that this can happen at all.

But the scarier thought is that the conspiracist(s) won’t learn a thing coming out of this. It’ll be on to the next one.

I’m more concerned by the fact that she is a pedo

    10. Any-Original-6113 on

Is this just curiosity, or did Owens make money from this case?

    11. Vitrarius on

On the contrary. This case will show how weak these people are. The moment you go on the offensive with all the proofs on your side in front of the law they lose all credibility. I read that more like “You wanna play this game? Let’s play” and she will lose possibily a lot. Pretty sure she’s not happy at all about this.

    12. Is Candace Owens even a woman? We really should see the proof.

I don’t understand all the drama just live stream her showing the world her vangininina.

    14. platinums99 on

Presumably they are only doing it do the damages will be paid and profitable. Easy Win i would have though. Candace better have a coinnbag as big as her mouth

Woman on the left of the image has a 101-fetal alcohol syndrome face.

    16. I pray no one forces me to prove I am a man. I like to whine too much. Ain’t no way I won’t be confirmed to be at least 73% bitch.

    17. Darjuz96 on

      In that timeline we live?

We imported paranoia from the USA.

    18. Lastchimp on

I’m not that into american culture… is “Owens” the next despicable person you’re going to be punish for if she get killed and you do not speak of her as a beacon for freedom and liberty ?

    19. Difficult_Limit2718 on

I demand Candice Owens proves she isn’t just a cunt but has one too 🤷

    20. Sophie_Blitz_123 on

It’s such a bizarre situation. On the one hand I think it’s silly to give it more air time, it’s the rantings of a deranged lunatic leave it as that. On the other hand, if they can *win* it would be quite good to start pushing back on conspiratorial loons.

    21. Seven_Veils_Voyager on

It’s weird to me that anyone is taking this even remotely serious. If someone says, “The moon is made of cheese,” I smile, nod, and move on with my life. Even if it’s true, it’s completely irrelevant, and the people worried about it aren’t worth paying attention to anyway.

    22. Doesn’t the fact that these people feel like they need to answer to ‘conspiracies’, give the rumors even more credibility. Brush it off like crazy and move on…..

    23. Ok_Relation7695 on

Really… who pays the judges and all the legal staff involved in this? Is this a complete waste of money? Who’s give a single fuck about this.. my god what a world we live in
