so heartless to the chickens. I don’t get how the article and the whole discussion about this doesn’t talk about how it’s a facility to cruelly rear 100,000 chickens every couple of weeks, and that this is just an immoral thing for humans to do, and it shouldn’t be permissible

That’s about as many chickens that I’ve eaten on my lifetime to maintain this average chassis.

Can’t build a halal chicken farm, halal chicken prices soar, HS2 a mess – broken Britain run by NIMBYs.

>But officers said the chicken farm, initially brought forward in May 2019, would result in **ammonia** being released on ancient woodland sites already in excess of critical levels, as well as lead to harm to nearby heritage assets.
You kow the Adblue stuff diesel cars use to reduce emissions well it is made from a urea and water solution. The urea contains **ammonia** which reacts with the NOx gas and prevents it from being released into the atmosphere.
Ammonia is being investigated as a potential clean fuel, it’s actually possible that the waste could be valorised, perhaps even to power the farm.

I’m no vegetarian and I love a bit of chicken but I live in Lincolnshire which has exploded with chicken farms over the last decade or so. Every time you go near a river these days it stinks horribly, Go to any other farmland in the country and they smell like farms around here it honestly smells like KFC diarrhea in places.
The quality of the meat is shocking too, I just don’t buy the “regular” chicken from supermarkets now, I’m sick of it being almost gone off when I’m taking it off the shelf even though the label will tell me it’s “X’ date.
