I’m pretty sure we can make a very good guess who this is. And I am even more sure that nothing will be done in response.
I’m not sure why we have not been spending the last year or two hacking “whoever” this might be out of existence. Their banking systems, their utilities and traffic infrastructure, their electricity grid, their train systems, their television and radio stations.. all of it, bar a very select few things like hospitals. The turn around and say “sure it couldn’t have been us, we’re all the way over here!”
Aren’t those the same airports that were impacted when a Microsoft outage (19/07/2024) caused by Crowdstrike rendered Windows machines to be inoperable?

I really do wonder if intelligence agencies around Europe are doing the same thing to Russia and we just don’t hear about it, or they just sit on their asses all day trying to fight fires like these.

If only the EU did something drastic in 2015 about Russia, not just sit on their dumb asses

Maybe it’s not such a bad thing because it will allow us to harden these systems now and prevent future attacks when they could hurt us more.

Oof. I managed to take a flight out of one of these airports this morning, after they’d reported issues with check-in and boarding. Check in/bag drop queues were massive, probably not moving – fortunate that I didn’t need to use them.

This will probably become more common.

Does the EU or NATO ever retaliate on Russia?
Two days ago, a major airport in Russia faced similar difficulties.
So , I think it’s global cybercriminals
