      >Backed by Germany, the proposal would exclude Meta Inc., Apple Inc., Alphabet Inc.’s Google LLC and Amazon.com Inc. from the Financial Data Access regulation, which aims to let third-party providers use bank and insurer data to develop digital finance products. Germany told other EU members the move would “promote the development of an EU digital financial ecosystem” and protect consumer “digital sovereignty,” the newspaper saw in a document.

Does this include third party using these companies as secondary service providers? Also, I’m curious why Apple? Outside of the Apple Card, they don’t have much a footprint in any financial services. They are also not heavily data-driven like the other giants.

Now, can they stop other Google’s dirty moves on EU territory, such as closing the Android’s open nature?

Europe has to become less reliant on foreign powers for critical infrastructure.

We all know that it takes just a little push-back from the White House to change their mind. Nice intention but I have little trust that it will come into effect.

Please also exclude Palantir. We don’t need to help that dictatorship in training anywhere in Europe.
