Azov Love A First Sight: Tetiana e Petro si incontrano dopo la prigionia e si sostengono a vicenda durante la riabilitazione

“I had never even seen her until that moment. I didn’t know her, hadn’t heard anything about her. When I came out, I saw a girl wearing an Azov patch. And I fell in love at first sight.”

Petro was captured after leaving Azovstal. In russia, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Tetiana was a medic with Azov and was captured in May 2022. Both were exchanged in the fall of 2024. They met by chance during rehabilitation, and now they are planning to get married.

“Basically, we would have already married, but Tania wants to wait until her father is exchanged. So that the whole family is together, and then we’ll get married” 

“She calmed my unstable mind. Before I met her, I would wake up in the middle of the night screaming, covered in cold sweat. But when I met her, I calmed down. She became like a breath of fresh air for me. I saw my future life in her. I realized I have a reason to live, a reason to grow and become better.”
