As it should be. Honestly as a Hungarian this is incredibly tiring. People here have absolutely no information about our foreign policy due to the media situation that we have

This might just be phase one. But even as a starter group, leaving out Hungary and Slovakia feels short-sighted. Even if they join later, the message now is, you’re not trusted.

Hungary is a Russian ally at this point in time

>Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Romania and Bulgaria will also be represented at the meeting on Thursday.
In addition to Ukraine.
So only states bordering Russia (or Belarus and the Black Sea) are invited. This is just annoying clickbait.

If Hungary were in it, there would be direct communication with Russia

Of course. We don’t want Putin’s goons knowing our defense plans.

Good. Border security starts with not giving info out to the enemy and its partners (in crime)

As a slovak citizen I am glad west finally realizes that current government with that criminal, disgusting embodiment of corruption with name of Fico (and his fellow idiots on russain payroll) is not trustworthy and should be taken as a neutral actor at best. Reality is they are proper enemies of EU and NATO and should be treated as such. Hopefully one day fellow slovaks will finally see through his idiotic lies and lack of any leadership and virtue.

Why would you allow enemy spies to join military program?

While the decision is IMHO correct, the big question is what happens if / when a country like France or Germany votes an AfD or FN as president?
The EU should have a way of managing the changing dynamics of politics, to make sure that the interest of the EU are preserved whomever each individual country votes as leader.

Also means they don’t need to pay for that wall.
