Hse can’t even get me a appointment for a physicartiat for my intrusive thoughts. Waited 5 months for addiction councilling. Lucky I was sober at the time but what about the people relying on that service to get sober. Hse honestly is not for for purpose.

Seen a glossy ad at the bus stop for nicotine pouches being advertised like they are polo mints. Seeing young adults with vapes constantly in their hands makes me sad. Seeing them sold in front windows and advertised like they are an old school sweet shop with all the pretty colours.
Government have failed so badly, we have regressed in this area.

Reddit – cocaine should be legal and sold in every chemist.
Also Reddit – how can the government allow people to vape?!

I used vapes to stop smoking, then I gradually bought weaker nicotine strengths. Once there’s barely any nicotine I barely used them anymore.
That was before all these disposable glossy vapes, back when you bought a giant lump of a vape from a man in a shop and felt like a scientist assembling, changing coils and dripping liquids in.

The department of finance can, slap a 100% tax on the disposable one and 30% on the rest

I really don’t get why they can’t just ban ” disposable” vapes. Not even on health grounds – I use a refillable vape, so I won’t begrudge anyone else.
But the idea that in 2025 we can sell a big lump of plastic with a fucking battery inside it, and accept that it will last for a day before being thrown in a bin is insane.

Sounds like its there own issue……people need to take responsibility for there own actions!!

To be fair I think its a legislation issue rather than a health service issue.
Just fucking ban the disposable ones and make it so you need a doctors note or something to buy reusable ones. Place a minimum cost on them to stop companies from passing off cheap disposable ones as reusable.
So yes you can buy one but you need to mind it and refill it not throw it on the ground when done.

Good. Vapes should have never been used as a smoking alternative – but as an aide to quite smoking all together.
Anyone who started vaping when they first came out knew you could only get mint or tobacco flavouring and was used just like gum or the patches.

Just ban them so. A bit of a solution

Help them now and you won’t have to treat them later. Who taught you budgeting, HSE?

I remember only a few years ago vapes were being hailed as the saviour to help smokers kick the habit…and now this! Ah the shortsightedness of those who regulate this sort of thing.
