Good, she’s done a shit job. Labour have had plenty of successes and are actually trying to do some worthwhile stuff, but it’s drowned out by Frogface nonsense (weird how the BBC platforms him so much considering how few MPs his party has).

I got a little card through the door a few weeks ago with stats about NHS improvements. THAT’S IT. I’m a Labour supporter, and if I want to share with others things I view as successes, I have to trawl through longwinded articles, policy statements etc to find them. If I believed what I’m exposed to on social media, I’d think they were buggering the king and Great Replacement-ing me. Would be great to have some easy-to-digest sources to link to.

The left really need to catch the fuck up to this modern media landscape. Most people after a long day have no energy left for wordy articles. This is why the right utilises catchy 3-word slogans so often.

    2. The challenge for Labour is no matter how good their director of comms is, they are faced with giving Starmer charisma, and vision in the eyes of the public.

They could employ the best makeup artist in the world. Dig out the Chanel and Dior in the most fashionable colours.

It’s still lipstick on a pig.

Well, not exactly been doing a good job. Labours communication has been awful.

No doubt not helped by an unfriendly/bias media environment, but still their coms have been utterly useless to even get ahead of the media and set the narrative instead of allowed the media to set the tone/spin.

Probably for the best. Can whoever replaces her just get Starmer to talk like a normal person again and stop with the relentless cheesy sloganeering.

I worked somewhere once where the owner sacked a load of C level people. Then a week later made the COO into co-CEO. Then got us all together to reassure us there would be no more changes in leadership.

Unsurprisingly the CEO quit 2 days later.

That’s how the UK government feels right now…

Good, Labour’s comms have been beyond shite.

They could cure cancer and their comms would still be all about small boats.

She was absolutely fucking dire, one of the worst comms teams I’ve ever witnessed

They had a head of communications?

Labour’s PR and comms have been dire. Even when they do something good, it gets buried, or someone finds someway to shit on it.

Ik Mandelson is tarnished (for good reason, I’m absolutely not condoning his association with Epstein), but him and Alistair Campbell were very good at handling PR for Blair.

Whoever has been in charge during Starmer’s government had been dire.
