Ho una domanda sulla situazione della strada in bicicletta in Germania.
Se c’è una pista ciclabile sulla strada, devo guidare la mia bici sulla cavalcata.
Se si fonde con la strada, devo cavalcare sulla strada.
Se c’è una pista ciclabile dedicata, di solito dipinta di rosso, devo guidare sulla sezione dedicata rossa.
– correggimi se sbaglio con queste affermazioni.
La domanda principale è in Aachen Blücherplatz Road che si fonde in Jülicher Str.- C’è una corsia per biciclette dedicata sulla strada che si fonde con la strada che arriva all’incrocio.
1.: Dovrei rimanere sulla strada per attraversare l’incrocio (parentesi rosse) seguendo il freccia gialla.
2.: O dovrei andare a destra, piuttosto che sinistra sull’area pedonale e e che attraversare l’incrocio con i pedoni che seguono il Linea bianca?
Questo è ad Aachen proveniente da Europaplatz che va in Blücherplatz, che su Jülicher Str.

Technically correct but there are some caveats in that regard.
Bike lanes (benutzungspflichtiger Radweg) are only bike lanes when the right signs are present (Z.237, Z.241 and Z.239). There is a sign with a bicycle and „frei“, that means you may drive there, but aren’t obliged to and when you decide to drive there, only in reduced speed.
In any other case you have to use the Fahrbahn (eg where cars drive). The Color of the surface doesn’t matter on any case. A red stripe without the right sign doesn’t mean shit. That’s what many car drivers also don’t get.
Additionally, a Radweg has to be zumutbar (reasonable). When its condition is so bad that driving is not possible in a reasonable manner, you even may drive on the Fahrbahn if the Radweg sign is present.
Answering your question: I’d probably make it dependent on whether it’s light or dark outside. When its light I’d merge into the cars cautiously. When it’s dark I’d rather take the safer option and cross the other way.
