It’ll probably just be an embarrassing train wreck

Judging from his other speeches, hell use the event to ramble about some random US internal politics

The world of diplomacy never presented so bizarrely than via that need of our leaders to act like the angry, orange toddler behaving like a king was a valued statesman.

Nothing of value could be gained from Trump speaking in our parliament and I’d hate to see it happen.

It’d be an incoherent rant that’d bounce between this whining about Biden, how “Ireland isn’t Ireland anymore” that’d only stir up the far right again, and if there was false shite about Connolly not applauding Zelensky, wait til anyone with a conscience refused to applaud Mango Mussolini’s stream of preschool consciousness.

But will give trump the run of the place to ramble on about fuck knows what,

priorities completely out of place here

      And…hilarity will ensue.

He will probably announce he’s appointing Cromwell to his cabinet.

MM is an embarrassment. Not quite as spectacular an embarrassment as Trump, but few things are. An embarrassment nonetheless.

Giving Trump a platform to spew his hate is a mistake. It is normalizing fascism.

Micheál Martin, speaking with uncharacteristic declared, “Look, we’ve got a robust economic relationship with the United States—but let’s be honest, what the people *really* want is the Epstein files.”

    9. The guy is just going to ramble about how awesome he is, and how much better Ireland would be if we would copy whatever nonsense is flavour of the week for him…..and the dangers of windmills esp near golf courses of course…..
