I work for a private company and I had to declare any conflict of interests including being in clubs and societies like the free masons. The fact that the public sector doesn’t have to do something like that seems insane.

I mean, I guess as long as other clubs have to be declared, why not? I’ve seen far more nepotism and networking going on at golf and rugby clubs than I have with Freemasons.
