The sabotage attacks, cyber attacks and agent recruitment within political parties and we’re still saying “may be”?

Of course we are and the sooner we admit it and start ramping up our defence the better. The time for appeasing Putin and his fascists is over.

We’ve always been at war with Russia. Since the end of the Napoleonic Wars, they’ve been our primary geopolitical rival. We exert influence on Europe from the West, they exert influence from the East.

Even when we were on the “same side” like during WW1 and WW2, it was a temporary alliance filled with mutual suspicion.

Successive UK governments may have, with the flood of Russian oligarch money into London, forgotten this but the Russians never have.

It is, it has been since the poisoning of the Skripals back in 2018 if not when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014.

Because of this the UK should be banning anyone with links to the Russian regime and state controlled companies from holding political office on the grounds of national security until a state of peace is reached. Might make life difficult for some of the Ruzzia loving ‘patriots’ we have in this country.

Really? Can we get that funding instead of MI5, literally everyone else realised this after Brexit

It is definitely a cold war and the continued breach of air space shows Russia is really pushing it when it comes to NATO. Add in the political instability they have already successfully sewn and it is plainly obvious that Russia are our enemy for as long as Putin is alive at least.

Between cognitive security threats, social media influence campaigns, the assassinations of ex-Russian assets on UK soil and election interference, we’ve been fighting a shadow war for decades now. Hell wasn’t it only recently a senior Reform party member was caught accepting bribes from Russia?

    8. Europe needs to call Putins bluff and shoot down any and all drones/ jets that enter its airspace. And if we’re not defending from cyber attacks, we need to create a team of our own to hit back at Ruzzia.

Ukraine keep hitting them where it hurts, we need to do the same.

It feels like we’ve been at war ever since Brexit. How did someone as weak as Nigel Farage manage to have such an outsized influence on that referendum, only to vanish until COVID hit? And now, somehow, he’s being tipped as a favorite to become the next MP? Russia’s playing a smarter game than people realize.

I mean, we’ve been a huge help in the death of around 200000 Russians, another 1000000 casualties, we crippled their economy. Their “hybrid” attempts are laughable and truth be told they are getting this much attention just because it fits the narrative and wouldnt even be mentioned otherwise. Through Ukraine we actually fight and hurt Russia and if their best is propaganda and a burning warehouse then lol

    11. We were never not at war, look at who in politics Russia funds. Look at the immigrant smuggling gangs that Russia funds. Look at the origin of the fake news after that horrific attack on those children. The funding behind Brexit…. Anything that MAY destabilize us. Follow the money trail and tell me we are not at war….

    12. I am not surprised to hear this, but the fact that it is being said aloud is alarming.

    13. A British general wrote a book about 10 years ago stating how we were in a very quiet very clandestine war with Russia even then. Today it’s quite a bit more overt.

its not as if Putin is murdering British citizens in Britain………oh wait

I think that a war between Russia and the UK is a good idea. Russia has never defeated the UK before.
