Interesting to see this reaction, especially considering the broader regional context.

They(including George Simion) changed their language as soon as they saw that their pro-Russian parties are losing. Weird maneuvering

Dude, you wont be led into the clubhouse that you just tried to burn down.
Your own will think youre a spineless sellout, and your oppounents wont ve convinced in the slightest.
… So… I fully support him doing this.

He’s far-right, but he’s not anti-EU.
On the other hand, Simion is fiercely anti-EU.

He was more or less towards the far right even before entering politics.
He was an editor for ‘Rost’ (Christian Right) type of magazine since 2003 where he would also promote figures from the Legionnaire movement.

I would like to point out that this is Claudui Târziu. Co founder of AUR party but has left it and made a new one. He seems to have tone it down a but (tho not by much) with the anti EU rethoric.
George Simion however has yet to congratulates her. Seems like most of his friends/ex friends know the tides are changing and are adapting, while he still makes a circus.

I wouldn’t say he is a leader. He used to be and left the party. He indeed has some radical views but at least i really think those are his own. Something most/all mainstream extreme-right leaders in Romania definitely have not. Probably the reason he left the party.
