*1 month suspended for this is a disgrace. They used a issue with his mental health to reduce his sentence, what about* the mental *health of the men who were* illegally filmed *? Oh they don’t know they were filmed.*
Atoche pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to a charge contrary to Section 45(3) Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017, stating that on June 11, 2025, he did intentionally engage in offensive conduct of a sexual nature by making recordings of unidentified males’ genitalia whilst they were urinating in a male bathroom in Terminal 1.
Shortly after 2pm on the date of the offence, Atoche “was taking video recordings in the bathrooms of other unknown males who were using the urinals”. Airport police approached him, and he handed over his phone.

Mitigation pleas involved early trauma, use of the word ‘triggered’, decent third level ed qualifications, remorse and mystification, and have one yourself. If they’d added some quite irrelevant struggle, such as dyslexia or colour blindness, he’d have won the toaster and cuddly toy.

Long story short is we need a new prison. There’s no room left in what we currently have, so courts end up letting creeps like this walk free.
The amount of times I’ve read “avoids jail” in these headlines, is fucking INSANE. And it usually involves crimes of a sexual nature!?!? The amount of suspended sentences they are giving for people who have child abuse imagery in absolutely terrifying.. what the fuck is going on?!
When was the last time a sex offender was jailed in this country? I opened the article expecting a story about the usual judge to be letting another dangerous sex offender walk free but this is a different judge and it seems this time the victims were all adults (although the sex offender was qualified as a teacher so……).
The “Boys will be Boys” defence seems to carry increasing weight in Irish courts.
