Laughably false statement. Orban’s Hungary is the one that is not independent as he himself is beholden to Russia and Hungary is dependent on Russian energy. That Hungarian dependence is also proven every time he obstructs or opposes EU efforts to support Ukraine’s fight to remain independent, how ironic.
We knew it from the beginning. Orban set his sights in Carpathi. For years he was engaging in subversive operations such as distributing Hungarian passports to the Ukrainian-Hungarian population, essentially sponsoring separatism. And that is his game with Putin. He was waiting for Ukraine to be broken up so that he can get his piece of a pie. Hungary under Orban has always been a hostile entity.
