The legal challenge can fuck off. They’ve been playing here for years. Years.

I never thought Ken would have his mucky paws all over this, but he does love attention

      >INDEPENDENT IRELAND’S KEN O’Flynn

Stopped reading there and I resent giving him that much time.

Linda de Courcy and Ken O’Flynn for anyone who’s interested

The article nor TDs seem to have any explicit reason for objecting?

And to think Independent Ireland were all for free speech!!

      >Independent Ireland politicians in legal bid to prevent Bob Vylan concert in Vicar Street

      yep, typical for them

This Ken O’Flynn chap is a dangerous operator.

He’s married to a gay immigrant. Vocally pro free speech.

He didn’t support marriage equality and has consistently railed against immigration. Now here he is trying to stop a gig – so much for free speech?

An absolute chancer of the highest magnitude.

Ken O’Flynn is happy to endorse a candidate who would repeal his right to marry and divorce if given the chance, but he draws the line at Bob Vylan.

The anti cancel culture and free speech crew are pro cancel culture and anti free speech now?

Funny how those using immigration & racism to garner media attention & votes seem to support the countries, ie US UK & Israel that cause all the immigration in the 1st place !!

Non stop wars, economic neo colonialism, interference in countries administrative affairs = migration, refugees.

Ken is a piece of shit.

Ah nostalgia, it’s like the 90’s again when people were terrified of songs and ministers wanted the likes of Slipknot and Eminem banned from entering the country.

Sure, ban REM’s Losing My Religion there again for the craic.

This is what happened with Kneecap in Canada. It was one MP, Vince Gasparro, who made the decision. There was a fair bit of negativity towards Canada and Candians in general on this sub following that announcement, I’d hope people see this and realize a decision like that is not reflective of an entire people.

I would like to go, if I get to shout “death, death to the IDF” it might help get some of the anger I feel at them out of me. I don’t want to harm any civilians, no matter what their opinions. But professional paid killers of 14000 little kids?.yeah, I want to shout that in a crowd. It would feel good.

Everytime I see Ken O’Flynn’s name I think of the [weird photos he did for the echo](https://www.echolive.ie/corknews/arid-40132652.html) when FF didn’t pick him as a candidate for the general election. Like what is the standing holding on to a railing supposed to signify, and then why is he suddenly in a field? And is “my vote will go to the highest bidder” really a statement people want to hear from their local representative?

    17. pippers87 on

Wait have independent Ireland forsaken their policy of free speech ?

    18. Spirited_Cheetah_999 on

God forgive my innocence I misread the headline as Bob Dylan and was confused by the thumbnail pic. Further confusion ensued as I read the comments.

Then I realised it was about Bob Vylan and not Bob Dylan.

Might need to go back to Specsavers.

Anyway, Ken O Flynn – don’t need to read on. Hypocrites gonna hypocrite.

Do people actually listen to Bob Vylan or are they millennial festival stuff?
