It’s pathetic how some of you always dismiss this issue, when Erdogan has made explicit references to missiles which will hit Athens or how they might invade one night. You also claim it’s ‘both sides’ – yea right go and find me Greece threatening Turkey or violating its airspace.
At the end, both countries’ data comes from their militaries and neither have a good history with their modern military (within their own country with juntas and stuff + against each other with the tensions from the past) so idk the accuracy of these numbers, but im certain it’s been both ways.
I’m almost 30 years old, they have been dogfighting in the Aegan since before I was born, it was common news when I was a kid – sadly a few pilots lost their lives here and there, afaik mainly to accidents, but other than that, nothing really happens.
They’re quite used to each other at this point and imo they also use these dogfights as training opportunity as well.
I’d also like to believe neither of the countries wanna invade each other at this point, at least most of the regular folks don’t, Greek islands are even a very popular destination for Turkish tourists as it’s visa-free now, and both countries are too broke and fragile to afford any wars atm. Yeah there is that problem of certain tall delusional dude, you know who, but seeing the deals signed with Trump last week just to get his recognition and support, I seriously doubt even he can initiate something like that.
Call me wrong idc but I don’t see Turkey and Greece getting into any conflict anytime soon. Turkey doesn’t have the means and resources to be a Russia, even if another Putin wannabe comes to power.
Edit:: actually there is one scenario I can think of, if they find a huge oil/gas reserves in the mainly disputed water zones, significant enough to make a difference for either of the economies, then maaybe yeah. But still the US/NATO are too established in both countries, that scenario may possibly crack under international pressure due to the geopolitical importance of both countries.
Sheniara on
I’m in awe how this shit goes down by the most direct and simple scenario ever.
Ukrainians were telling from the very beginning: help us to firmly push russians out of our legal land, or, they will come for you next after seeing your passiveness.
And only with fucking drones over the heads most people start to sloooooowly realise what is going on.
I bet Russians are laughing their lungs out looking at those weak and pathetic reactions.

No incidents in Romania, despite they had lots of drone parts and a border?
POLSKA GUROM
Oh, wait…
No mention of a Ukrainian drone that flew through Hungary and crashed in Croatia, or missile that killed 2 people in Poland?
So white area is both water and land? very nice r/terriblemaps
Turkey did 279 violations and Greece did 0? Just curious.
EU, or Europe?
Norway has experienced three airspace violations this year, by Russian airplanes.
Lol very narrow timeline chosen for reasons
So Turkey is the real aggressor, we should first go after them.
lol I’m sure the Greek who posted this isn’t biased at all
The european leaders have f—d up the economy and want to go to war to wash their criminal hands with inocent blood.
They cling to power despite their public disaproval.
Russian propaganda, again.
How could these awful NATO/EU terrorists put their land under innocent Russian drones?!

For idiots claiming that a Greek has chosen this period for a specific reason, why don’t we look at the whole of 2022 where Turkey violated Greece’s airspace over 10,000 times: https://mirrorspectator.com/2023/01/12/turkey-violated-airspace-of-greece-more-than-10000-times-in-2022/.

This looks quite based. Turkey claims those violations too: https://www.trtworld.com/article/12784977
