I live in Hamburg and have followed the case of Olga Petersen, a former AfD member.
She was born in 1982 in Russia/Soviet Union and moved to Germany at the age of 16. She worked in the Hamburg parliament as AfD member after being elected in 2020 and was vice chairwoman for the AfD in the Harburg disctrict of Hamburg. She was expelled from the AfD in 2025 after making the statement that the election in Russia in 2024 was free and fair for everyone. At least that’s the official given reason. She actually emigrated back to Russia in June 2024 even though she won a mandate in Hamburg-Harburg in the same month. She hasn’t returned since and when asked her reason given was, that she had to flee to Russia because the Youth Welfare Office in Hamburg allegedly wanted to take her 4 kids away from her (she is divorced). She didn’t notify the parliament or authorities about her emigration to Russia and kept illegally receiving payments as politician.
Her political stances were:
– against environmental education in school, because she felt that Diesel fuel was portrait too negatively
– against nutrition education in school
– against sexual education in school
– against “woke gender politics”, against migration of skilled workers to Germany, against vaccinations
She founded an association “against discrimination of russians in Germany” with other AfD members. The association funded attorneys for pro-russian influencers and voiced complaints about the in Germany illegal “Z” symbol used in Russia in support of the invasion of Ukraine.
Since beginnging of 2025 she creates pro russian videos from the frontlines for social media and gives interviews as expert on Germany. She said she will remigrate to Germany in the future.
I am always surprised we in Germany have not any arrests because of treason or something

Continue welcoming russians to your countries and in 15 to 20 years you can get your own AfD!
But hey, need to protect the totally innocent totally against everything bad and for everything good!

“True patriots”…. Those cowards are the in the party that wants to tear down this country the most. People voting for them should be aware of that

Calling themselves patriots while being agents of foreign power. It’s the bread and butter of European far right these days.

Tale as old as the party itself.
99% of this party are either useful idiots or direct employees of Russia.

They should remove this political party from German parliament, they just promote hate, and they don’t like freedom of other Europeans and violate their rights.

Liebe Leute, this is what it feels like in Hungary every day. Think of this the next time you comment “KICK HUNGARY OUT OF THE EU” to an r/europe post, thinking that will solve everything.
NO ONE is safe from or exempt to the gradual degradation of democracy, it’s just that certain nations are still not in as deep shit as others. Instead of smug vindication, you should see the example of Central-Eastern Europe as a warning. You still have time to take action and steer away from the edge.
