Have they been sectioned under the mental health act?
Good.
Not because of the idea they had (imo power to them for living in Scottish woods) but because they felt like they had a right to claim public land as their own.
You don’t, that land is for everyone. Not just you.
Would have been much funnier to let this run its course and let the weather smash their morale and watch them give up.
Just leave them be, winter will evict them soon enough.
