      It shouldn’t be voluntary, if a member of the public fraudulently gained as much money as she did, we’d be in prison.

      Fraudulently bill £120m to the government, supported by a “fast track” system for politically connected people, and the senior people say, “well, maybe she should resign”. Let’s not get carried away, eh?

      The thing i most dislike about this is exactly how unsurprised I am. At least if i had ***some*** shock it would at least imply that i’ve got some faith left in the leadership of this country. But no. Nothing.

      There should be criminal investigations for all involved.

      They took advantage of the country in a time of national emergency.

      That’s not punishment. For you and me, this is fraud. So along with a jail term, we’d have our assets frozen and be compelled to repay the money with interest.
