I think Ukraine has made it clear that it wants nothing to do with the “russian world”. They are suffering for it but that’s how powerful nations are forged. Unfortunately, they will always have to be on the alert as they are next door to Mordor.

Unless there is a compromise that somehow negates the ability of Russia to invade Ukraine once it has rebuilt its military’s manpower and equipment stocks, there is no compromise that can bring peace.
Those who say Ukraine needs to be realistic about finding a negotiated peace are being unrealistic about Russia’s intentions. The only way to have peace with Russia is through military superiority, at least until Russia liberalizes (which is unlikely to happen anytime soon).

Really, it really changed a lot even from 2022… I know people who afraid to come back from Canada and Germany, cos they will not come back to old Ukraine, and they have chances to not find themselves in new Ukraine. Even me, who is in Ukraine but not in my city – know for sure that my city is not mine already…

Compromise happens after surrender. The two sides met for over a year prior to the invasion with the US “providing donuts” and they ran out of things to say to each other. Now with all of the atrocities and war crimes committed by ruzzia’s military, there is no negotiation – no compromise. They can surrender, capitulate, or continue hostilities.

They’re so close to becoming a part of the Western hegemony. That would be such a good thing for Europe in general. I’ve been demoralized lately since Russia has gotten a lot less incompetent than they were at the beginning and are starting to show their numerical superiority. But I still have enormous faith in the tenacity of Ukraine. If Putin would just die it would probably end the war. This was such a bad idea for Russia from the beginning. I know they have a huge capacity for killing their own people, but I can’t imagine any new leader not already committed like Pooters would want to own this bs.
