So we aren’t allowed to talk about their connections to Russia, or Farage avoiding tax. Got it, no free speech.

I fear if (when) Reform get in next election it’s gonna very much go the way the US has gone. Farage is a piece of fucking shit. Reform are full of absolute violent grifters. This country will get shafted with them in power.
The people who voted for him will be the most affected.
I can not say this enough. Fuck Farage.

How dare anyone suggest that a member of the Reform party in Wales – whose former leader was caught taking bribes to peddle Kremlin propaganda – has links to Vladimir Putin, the politician Nigel Farage once said he “most admires” in the world.
Such a disgrace.
Electricbell20 on
Good job reform, I hadn’t heard about the recent linking of another member to Russia until you sent this letter. Now you have the BBC repeating the bribe story.

Labour shouldn’t back down on this as it clearly ruffles them.

Of course he has ties and has taken money from Putin.
You’ve got to be naive not to join all the obvious dots and follow the money trail.
Well what’s he going to do, take a legal challenge out against me on Reddit ?

I’ll say it here, racist wife beating morons with their hands in Putins pockets. No idea grifting idiots who do not want the best for this country only for themselves.

Free speech right Nige? You even had Lucy Connelly at your conference.
Only last week your funder Arron Banks and Reform Mayoral candidate said he wants to get rid of regulators including Ofcom?

The 59-year-old, who made his fortune in insurance, said a potential Reform government should scrap the Financial Conduct Authority, the City regulator, along with media and internet watchdog Ofcom, the Electoral Commission and the Competition and Markets Authority.

So just to be clear on what we’re not allowed to say:
#
# Nigel Farage and Reform are knowingly accepting direct support from Vladimir Putin in his effort to destabilise Western democracies.
#
…is a statement that *nobody* should ever, ever say.
In fact, in order to make sure everyone understands what we’re not allowed to say, we should make sure to warn others, repeatedly and loudly, not to say it.
Maybe we should even put up some signs or billboards just to make sure the message is clear, so nobody mistakenly talks about Reform’s numerous ties to the Russian government and the ways in which Russian influence efforts online are directly aiding Reform.

They are literally acting like Trump. Don’t like something someone says? Threaten to sue. Or try and ban newspapers from council meetings. No one should be taking these people seriously

If Reform actually sued for libel, they would have to provide evidence that they’re clean and open their books to the defendant. Which would be interesting.

Surely they can prove there’s no validity to it rather than issuing threats and blowing up and huffing when questioned on it.

This is the playbook. Issue legal threats to try and silence criticism but never follow through on legal action because what’s being said is true. They get their threatening legal action headline which is what they want and then hope its forgotten about. I wonder where they got this idea from.

Instead of actually answering the questions and talking about the situation, instead they are so desperate to sweep it under the rug and try to hide it through legal threats, it says more about reform and their links than it does about anything else.
This talking point needs to be continued for as long as possible while reform are trying so desperately to hide it, we can’t let them get away with sweeping it under the rug
(I have also heard that once Gill goes to prison some even more damning news for reform will break, which is why they are so desperate to move on right now)

I find it fascinating but also not even slightly surprising that absolutely none of this is being discussed even vaguely in passing in the Reform UK sub.
I know this figure is mostly imaginary at this point but lets try –
For any Reform voter who isn’t a cultist. You consider yourself a centrist person who is concerned about high levels of immigration and the protection of rights such as free speech. Fair enough, all power to you. But does none of this stuff concern you? Reform get caught out in a very obvious and very undeniable faux pas. Their first response? Not to admit any guilt *of course not*, but to deny that a man who has worked with them for the better part of 7 years through UKIP, the Brexit Party, and into Reform and was given serious and senior positions in each organization was some side figure no one else in the party was really aware of? When pressed their first instinct is to threaten *legal action* against anyone who talks about something that has already been proven beyond any reasonable doubt in our court of law. This coming from a party that has already had *multiple* instances of spats with local newspapers and in the case of at least one city just outright banning the local press from council affairs and refusing to elaborate further.
Seriously how is none of this concerning to the average every-person voter who’s just a bit “fed up with the uniparty”?
