If only there had been some kind of red flag like naming your child Jihad then this could have been avoided…

    2. Pretty incredible to contrast the two comments:

      > The father of the Manchester synagogue attacker said that the October 7 attacks on Israel were perpetrated by “men of God on Earth” and described the Hamas atrocities as a “miracle by all standards”.

      > He condemned the attack by his son, Jihad al-Shamie, at Heaton Park in which two people were killed on Thursday, describing it as a “heinous act”.

      > He wrote on Facebook on Friday that his son targeted “peaceful, innocent civilians”. Speaking on behalf of the family he added: “We fully distance ourselves from this attack and express our deep shock and sorrow over what has happened. Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we pray for their strength and comfort.”

I just posted in another thread the comments that even someone as prominent as the Deputy Leader of the Green Party made after October the 7th:

      > people should “support the right of indigenous people to fight back” … “they are not victims, they are occupiers, they are colonialists, they are European colonialists”

This kind of sentiment is evidently not rare. Britain has a big problem with extremism.

He will on the ouside condemn the attack in Manchester but if he celebrates October 7th,he is probably dancing with joy on the inside.
