HMS Medway is a River Class Batch 2 Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) of the Royal Navy and is forward deployed in the Caribbean primarily to conduct Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief for any of the British Overseas Territories in the Caribbean in the event of a natural disaster (mainly hurricanes).

She also conducts Counter Illicit Trafficking Operations (CITOPS) with the US Coast Guard when not conducting HADR, as well as Defence Diplomacy around the Caribbean.
