Kemi has no balls, despite Jenrick clearly eyeing up her job. Utter shambles.

Jenrick is right. I moved away from Bolton as these communities grow and change the areas around them and it is never for the better. My commute home now takes 20 minutes to get down a stretch of road, Deane Road for those who live in Bolton, which used to take about 5 minutes. This is due to overcrowding, pedestrians walking in the roads, stopping at every set of traffic lights due to people crossing and cars parked on double yellows outside takeaways & barbers causing obstructions which you cannot get past. Every other stretch of road takes the same amount of time, but this one takes so much longer and you can see it getting worse. These communities do not integrate, they stay in their community until joining another which then results in more moving to the new community and driving those originally living there out.

Jenrick has only said what he has seen as have many others ….intregation is a big issue unfortunately.

What the hell does “integrate” even mean?

Does it mean a perfect national average mix of people in every ward?

Becuase if so a lot of that not being the case is down to white people moving away.

If it means adhering to some nebulous “values” or engaging with society, well. It’s not *just* immigrant communities who don’t really do that.

jenrick is conflating two different things.. a community having higher numbers of brown faces doesn’t, in itself, necessarily mean that they are not integrated

people will tend to gravitate towards areas that already have people from a similar background there.. nothing unusual about that

some people may also have an easier time getting accepted as a tenant/neighbour in certain areas than others

I can’t believe grifters and national politicians are on the same level now

Can we go back to fighting about the economy and what policies are bad instead of the constant din of race wars and culture war bullshit

Nothing he said is racist. Kemi is correct, it’s not racist to make observations. Althought, devils advocated, the fact he basically said it’s a shithole, *then* made the observation that there was no white faces is certainly problematic.

However, we’ve essentially created enclaves in this certain areas in this country. And it’s usually not to the betterment of everyone. If he had said “I visited Chelsea and didn’t see a single Black face” no one would call him racist.

We should be questioning “Why”. Why are communities being created that are disproportionately populated by certain demographics and asking how we can create more balance rather than just shouting “That’s racist” at each other.

It’s because she is about CLASS and not race. She couldn’t give a shite about racism, along with many other MP’s. The way that she reacts to stories like this, She almost reminds me of, Stephen, from Django unchained.

She’s so desperate to be white 😂

Honey, it’s time to face facts, the right will never accept you.

      Isnt Birmingham like 48% white?

So what he means by ‘no white faces’ is ‘too many brown ones’

    11. Electronic_Fan7491 on

I live in Birmingham and I was about to say ‘I disagree’, but he is talking about Handsworth specifically. Actually , he isn’t wrong. There are a few Polish and Romanian families but not many. Asian and Black is right

I only wish he was making these comments 30 years ago. Its far too little too late to be noticing that there are communities of 100,000 people of the same race living together.

The same of true of White communities too. Its possible to go to parts of Birmingham and not see any Black or Brown faces.

Birmingham is a very segregated city (with a few mixed areas) with people of any racial group preferring to live with people who are like them

    12. It’s an idiotic comment either way. Who cares if you’re the only person of a particular race or colour in a room or on a street? It doesn’t hurt or inconvenience you in any way.

It really feels like she needs therapy, she’s so fixated on being this leader she has an image of that nothing she says makes any sense.

A black woman defending a white man saying he didn’t see enough white people. In an OVERWHELMINGLY white majority county. They’ve got to get rid of her.

She is a stop gap leader, Tory’s are just riding out the storm, for when the usual political amenisa kicks in

These are the lows they need to stoop to in order to get headlines for their conference.

The most powerful response is to ignore them.
