I for one am shocked that the people of Cork want billions spent on infrastructure in Cork.

Fantastic. Can’t wait to ride on it in 2075.
*(In case anyone thinks I’m being pessimistic, a bypass was first mooted for Galway City in 1992 and became official policy in the Galway Transportation and Planning Study in 1999. 33 years later, approx. 45 million euro has been spent and the project has not progressed beyond An Bord Pleanála.)*

The people of Cork overwhelmingly want it.
Shame theres going to be a handful who dont want construction near them or their friend and will make the process painfully slow.

Great news. Too bad Galway won’t get one first. It’s needed far more over here. Galway has congestion issues as bad as cities many multiples its size and another road won’t fix it.
We could even call it the Gluais which means movement.

I hope they build it with upgrades in mind. Mad that the Dublin one is at capacity when it’s rammed every day at rush hour

Cork Urban Network Transit System wouldn’t be the worst name for it.

Lets hope they don’t use the event centre play book for building on this project!

Love to see it but I’m concerned about how much of the route seems to be shared with general traffic.
If they don’t find ways to segregate it or at least give it signal priority, it’ll just be like an expensive bus that gets stuck in traffic

We need to see better public transport infrastructure across our entire island, and this is a great sign of progress! Hopefully construction begins asap.

Great.
I’m skeptical it’ll ever happen though.
