Men who pee standing don’t have to clean their own toilet

I live in Germany now, and yeah it seems to be more common to sit here. It’s a cleanliness thing. If you (as a man) start to sit to pee, you’ll notice your bathroom stays cleaner a LOT longer.

Or maybe you won’t notice, because you (as a man) probably don’t clean your bathroom. Your wife/girlfriend does. If you sit for her believe me she’ll notice and appreciate it.

In my own home I sit, when I am in a public Restroom I stand, when I am visiting someone it depends how clean the Bathroom is.

I stand on my own toilet (or public toilets), sit on others’. It’s only polite as a guest, especially as it controls for those rare unexpected directional outcomes…

Most men I know sit, my bf included. It’s definitely preferred and cleaner.

How about those who prefer to pee in the sink?
Edit: It was intended as a joke, just in case.

    At home? Yes!

Everywhere else? If urinal yes, if not no.

I stand. Sometimes I miss, then I clean. Yeah in general we both clean toilets ( every week, change who is doing it every 2 weeks). I was shocked about sitting. Nothing against it, just never happend to see this, which make sense. I am not German.

never even comes up as a topic, everyone i know sits.

Balkan men don’t even put the lid up, let alone thinking they would sit to pee😂

Why would I stand at home? The only toilet I trust.

I once saw a toilet in a private German home with a note that said: Sit down when you pee or I will clean the toilet with your blood.

“Sit” in balkans is absolutely wrong information in the graph

    Home/Friends/Office: Sitting

Public Space that other people probably already pissed on: Toilet seat up and standing

  15. I sit, because I don’t want to spray little pee droplets all over a room that I share with overs. To be honest I don’t even want to spray my own room with pee.

In Serbia not a single guy I know sits, nor have I ever heard of such a case. I was shocked 10 years into my habitation in Germany to learn that here it’s the standard.

  17. I don’t care any other reason then sit because its more chill.

I sit. How else would you scroll Reddit?
    Also much more relaxed.

Sit in Germany, as I do since 15 years living here. But – noone does that in exYU region (neither did I!) so what’s up with that??

  20. My mother told me, I have to clean the bathroom when I stand. Since then, I sit. Its way more comfortable, and I want to sit since I’m a lazy person (same reason I don’t want to clean)

  21. PrestigiousDrag7674 on

Used to stand at my parents house. Now always sit at my own house.

  22. Content-Tower6193 on

Sitting down is cleaner, more relaxed, and you don’t get micro-splashes of water/urine on your trousers/legs.

  23. Wipfmetz on

sit if it’s in the master bathroom.

stand in all the other rooms.

Ever since I [Germany] started wiping up my own piss from the floor, I started sitting down.

I figure people who piss standing up are either live-at-home babies who have their mummies wipe up after them, or they’re chauvinists who keep a wife at home for cleaning and cooking, or they’re so rich that they intentionally do it because the maid has to deal with it.

Either way, not demographics I’d want to be a part of. Sensible men sit down. It’s relaxing and healthy, there’s no “last drop” to get caught on the trousers, and no chance to catch anything in the zip.
