I have a habit – if I’m in Clogherhead I go to the chipper and get the fish&chips, head to the top of the carpark at the harbour and enjoy the view – its class in good weather.
I can remember swimming in the harbour with me first girlfriend, it used to be a much more popular spot in the 90s. It(Clogherhead) was almost like a holiday destination for lots of folks
Hope you got the obligatory fish and chips on the pier! The little strand was cleaned up about 2 months ago, nice little diner there. If you’re going back anytime, Salterstown has a nice swimming area too.
