When Vladimir Putin joins summits of former Soviet states in Tajikistan this week, the leaders around the table will most likely declare their close bonds with Russia. In reality, many have been distancing themselves from Moscow since the invasion of Ukraine.
Across central Asia and the Caucasus, countries such as Kazakhstan, Armenia and Azerbaijan were once firmly in Russia’s orbit. Now they are forging deeper ties with rivals like China, the European Union, Turkey or the Gulf states, as they seek to protect themselves against further Kremlin aggression.
Putin lives in the old times when it’s 2025, he doesn’t care about the world or his youth because he already lived life on this planet and knows he is closer to the other side of life. The closer he gets, the more likely he wants to expand and start unnecessary war with NATO, he knows the USA is washy about things due to the current administration.
