Why are the people here bootlicking age verifications so eager to get their IDs leaked? Give your ID in too many places and it’s inevitable to leak.

Were the kids protected? That’s the important part because it’s all about protecting the kids, right

Those 70.000 deserved it for trusting their IDs with anyone else.

I understood that “the tea” gossip app, made by super small team had shitty data retention policy.

      BUT DISCORD?

Why they kept the IDs? Why not just “verify and destroy”?

I don’t understand why they store them, it’s so easy to have the cake and the pie…

Luckily, at least a small portion of those will be a photographs of that one Half Life or Death Stranding guy taken in the photo mode

Still though it just further highlights the stupidity of this system. Now that criminals know companies like discord have all this private info they will be triple downing on trying to breach them which is what ultimately makes this whole idea unsafe not just for kids, but for everyone and we already see this being 100% true and these attacks will only escalate now.

Oh hey it’s the exact thing everyone and their mother said was going to happen

I hope discord and whatever crack den they hired to store the info get sued into nothingness

An information breach is never a question of “if” but “when”.

But now let’s watch the contortionists in the political sphere do their Cirque de Soleil routine to defend the Chat Control legislation.

      “Oopsie poopsie, our B”

Sounds like a class action lawsuit in the future

    13. its very funny how suddenly around the world these policies started getting pushed, even aside argument of freedoms etc, gov just didnt prepare for it to be implemented properly, instead of using bank log in to confirm or some gov website to log in as verification, nah show random 3rd party company your sensitive info lmao.

Like at very least it should be some gov website you normally use acting as a proxy to confirm ur identity to the 3rd party company without showing any documents etc, even that is flawed, but at least not your documents sitting in fucking discord support site…
