    1. Nothing of value would be lost. There are plenty of countries in Europe that could host and would be more than happy to.

Somewhat ironic, Germany and Austria on the wrong side of history, yet again.

Would not want to host this shit show if i where them either there is no win in hosting this event. The cost alone is must be insane.

    4. How long until this post also gets removed for no fucking reason

i dont want them to compete

not because of the war, but because their voting charades endanger the integrity of entire competition

This article hilariously states that the Netherlands (one of the countries who have stated they will withdraw if Israel participates) does not have a right wing government, despite that very much being the case since 2010, with the current government (what’s left of it anyways) being the most right wing we’ve had since WWII.

      It’s a fake news…

      Stop spreading zionist hasbara.

austria government isnt right winged. it is conservatives/center left/liberal

    9. “Unlike those countries, Austria has a right-wing government.” and using oe24 as a source …

      Top-tier journalism 🤡

The Eurovision is finished anyway…other than old people I don’t know anyone watching it.

Well Israel is geographically located in Asia so why are they even allowed to compete in the EUROvision?

Btw the Netherlands has a right wing government for over a decade now.

Not gonna happen. Unless Zionists give them 40million to pay back EBU

Austria and Germany haven’t understood the assignment.

    14. This is pretty fake and clickbaity. There’s no official confirmation from the chancellor’s office. Likely some high rank politicians who want to discuss this but they’re not the ones to decide.

Also, opting out of the contract the ORF (Austrian broadcaster) has with the EBU would mean they’d have to pay a penal fee likely higher than what organizing the ESC would cost them.

This world has really turned upside down

And extreme right wing party defending a Jewish genocidal state to entering and participating in austria

Make a new Eurovision that’s actually only EURO and everyone must sing in their native languages, not just generic English pop or ballads for most part. That would be a great cultural yearly event. No politics of any kind, no ideology, just everyone showing off their culture. I’d watch it.

Interesting, since no Austrian news agency is reporting that…

Well there is one, that is known for fake news… So it’s probably fake news

      Austrian here!

First: Neither our changellor nor anybody else stated that we don’t won’t to host the ESC. We actually had a more or less big competition about which city will be the location for it and while we have almost no cities that would even be able to do so, more than expected signed up.

Second: We don’t have a right-winged government. Our government consists of three parties (Conservatives, Center-Left, Neo-Liberals)! Although the % of ring wing voters is pretty high, yes, unfortunately.

Third: If we don’t host it, it is not because of Israel, but because our economy is fucked currently, because of corruption and mistakes from former governements. Food prices are as high as never before and still rising and everywhere the government needs to save money. So there is that.

Fourth: “Austria is on the wrong side of history again, mimimimi!” No! Austria is not pro Israel nor likes what is happening over there. But in our mentality, just like Germany, we don’t dare to say and do a lot against Israel, because of what we did in WW II. There are still many people protesting in the streets for Palestine. But as a whole Austria won’t probably ever stand against Israel. (To be honest, secretly we are still the same old racist fucks though and many neither like muslims nor jews and that’s a shame…)
