that’s a lie, they’re all bad apples like Trump got money from Russia and weirdly enough this lot does too.

You know what they say about a few bad apples, Nige. And you’ve got more than a few…

Is he a bad apple because he was corrupt or was he a bad apple because he was found out?

You know the old saying. “One bad apple is totally an isolated incident, and all the other associated apples are completely fine, don’t worry about it”.

At least Farage was just directly paid by Russia, rather than taking a bribe. Well, as far as we know anyway.

A bad apple spoils the whole barrel.
Why does no one remember the end of that phrase?

Farage’s outrage is as genuine as a Russian election result.

Could be worse. He could have lied about WMDs and involved us in an illegal war.

Why are so many alleged bad apples attracted to being part of Reform?
Oh, so if they have a few bad apples, it’s wrong to generalise their whole party and agenda, but when it comes to immigrants, that logic somehow can’t be applied.
Reform = Hypocrites & Evil

Another “bad apple”
Seems Reform have no good apples.

Never understood that phrase. If someone is selling me a barrel of apples and one of the most prominent apples at top is rotten, I’m not removing it and thinking “oh well, it’s just a bad apple”, I’m asking for a refund.

“One bad apple spoils the whole barrel”
Why do people persist in using the saying in the opposite sense?

“One bad apple spoils the barrel” is the full phrase. If it’s one bad apple in the barrel, the whole barrel rots. One bad person in a group brings the whole group down with them. That’s the whole point of the phrase. I really wish people would stop using this phrase to dismiss legitimate criticism.

Well you know what they say about bad apples….guess that means all of Reform are spoiled. In the bin they should all go.
Looks like Zack Polanski being on Question Time has ruffled their feathers a little bit. Almost like countering reform and exposing their corruption is better than just copying their policies.

A lone bad apple? What about:
**Andy Osborn:** Pleaded not guilty to an electoral law offence related to making a false statement about a candidate’s character. He was elected in May 2025.
**Stephen Hartley:** Suspended in April 2025 after tweets emerged in which he supported serial sex abuser Jimmy Savile.
**David Knight:** Setting up a company intended to bid for council contracts while working for Doncaster council.
**Rachel Reed:** Setting up a company intended to bid for council contracts while working for Doncaster council.
**Steven Biggs:** Called for Islam to be nuked.
**Howard Rimmer:** Promoted the “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory.
**Isaiah-John Smith Reasbeck:** Made derogatory comments about Bradford’s Muslim population.
**Ron Firman:** Received a warning from a parish council over racist and sexist tweet
**James McMurdock**: Convicted of beating his girlfriend
**Rupert Lowe**: Bullying ands threats of violence against members of his staff
And that’s just the shit that became public knowledge.

The problem with bad apples is that bad apples spoil the barrel and in spoiling the barrel alert folk to the presence of suspect apples that need to be examined, to be trusted

Worth pointing out [earlier this year](https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/jul/07/reform-uk-to-introduce-less-stringent-common-sense-vetting-system-for-candidates) Reform decided their selection and vetting processes are actually too strict so have made them more lax.
