Interesting report — I wonder how they plan to handle the reintegration.

    2. You’d think after Russia and a lot of its predecessor nations for the last 500+ years have gotten themselves into trouble with “strong men” leading them: they’d learn.
But no, each time they think whoever is up and comes off as the next “Ivan the terrible”; that’s the best choice to lead Russia to greatness. I’m not sure why Russia needs “greatness” when I think prosperity might be a better goal. That’s just the national character and psyche I guess? Hasn’t changed in over five centuries, don’t think it will change any time soon… or ever.

In completely unrelated news, Putin is sending his army of convicts etc. to die in human wave attack.

I wouldn’t worry about it vlad, not many of them are going to return anyway

It’s already happening. There are already large parts of Russia that are un-policeable due to a lack of police officers.

I feel like sending convicted murderers to battle to kill people isn’t exactly helping rehabilitate them

Dictator trains an army of thugs to murder his enemies, conveniently forgets that some of them may survive, and return home.

      In other news, water wet.

I highly doubt that putin gives two flying fks about the russian people . If he did ,he wouldn’t send them to die like cattle .

And a certain Star Trek: TNG episode comes to mind. Good luck with that, Vladdy

I hope, they will come back, and people will live in fear.

I hope they destabilize the country. Not just the society.

And that’s why it is becoming more likely that he will strike NATO. He needs the war to continue, because the alternative (return to a non-war economy, return of various soldiers seeking benefits) would be near catastrophic for Russia.

I’ve seen a documentary last year(might have been Arte) that specifically dealt with the problems that Russian soldiers cause at home once they return. Some of them are completely disinhibited and violent towards their fellow citizens.

Is he really expecting them to return? I understood that they enter the meat grinder and only come out in body bags. Definitely an expendable force.
