Domani, il Partito popolare repubblicano (il principale partito di opposizione della Turchia) terrà la sua prima manifestazione in Belgio, segnando l’inizio delle sue manifestazioni in tutta Europa.

Main opposition CHP Party Chairman Özgür Özel Will be There.
Why is a Turkish political party rallying in Belgium?
Is it outlawed in Turkey?
damn turkey’s government is ALSO in Belgium? I thought the EU, Belgian, and Palestine governments were enough..
The Diaspora will back Erdoğan as usual then vote for left wing parties here , its how it is with the Turkish Diaspora all over Europe.
Right a turkish rally for turkey in… Belgium. Leave Europe alone please we have enough protests on our own
On one hand I find it insane that people who haven’t been to Turkey in decades (or ever) can impact politics there to the point that Turkish parties need to campaign in *Belgium.*
On the other hand, any attempt to make the diaspora stop voting for Erdogan is welcome in my book.
(For the record: Danes lose our right to vote the moment we register an address abroad.)
Hey Belgium, either use some UV resistant paint, or change your flag.
How about rallying in Turkey?
Fuck off.
Edit: Not sure why I’m being downvoted when it’s very fucking obvious Turkish parties shouldn’t be campaigning across Europe. Would we allow this with Russia?
I mean… i wont say something when politicians in my country are milking the diaspora vote as well…

It’s crazy to me that someone feels the need to hold their home political party rallies in foreign countries. The idea of waving your national flag in a foreign country is like going to watch a football match with the flag of a hockey team. It’s not illegal, but it’s just weird, and everyone is confused about why you have the flag.
**Before I get jokes about English people going abroad waving their Union Jack around. I just live in the UK I’m not British**
