Is there any way we can separate these figures so we can see how the figures vary between the public sector and the private sector?
I have a feeling the government is hiring speedily while the private sector is shedding rapidly and the difference is being masked by these combined net figures.

Not surprising really, loads of companies have been “restructuring” lately. Basically means they’re hiring fewer people and squeezing more work out of whoever’s left
