      Interesting to see Sarmatia between Prussia, Livonia and Lithuania. Did they mean Samogitia perhaps? Most maps place Sarmatia around Ukraine.

      It’s a Spanish map, which is why Britain is portrayed as a giant floating turd which the ‘Spanish queen’ is trying to look away from.

      edit: Romans adopted a version of the Greek name and may have linked it to the Latin word hibernus, meaning “wintry”
