I think there’s a huge problem at the moment where people seem to think that hierarchy is wrong or bad or that it should be eliminated.
Hierarchy isn’t bad, denying its existence is.
When I was growing up in School, there was very little I or any of the other Students had in common with the teachers and that helped to build a sense of distance and respect, these days teachers are being more friendly which is in some ways positive but it can lead to confusion about their role.
