The conversation about climate change seems to be gradually shifting from halt it to live with it.

Finally, good weather in the UK! Maybe the beaches will be of use again.

We won’t be, though. Not once in my lifetime have I ever seen the UK even remotely ready for any weather related event

Tbis is why its so important to buy a house that cannot get flooded. Lots of people will be in a shock in the next few decades. We will have flood migrants within the UK.

The real fun begins when the crops starts failing and pollinators starts dying.

I find it amazing that our tiny rock of an island are the only ones preparing for devastating events. We must have our own climate system with “experts” preparing us for the worst. Anything to keep the funding coming in, right?

Honestly we can’t even do anything about it. Because we’re the small people. It’s the bigger corporations that are going to make it worse and worse

    8. *Gasp* Building in flood zones will flood during flood seasons

Time to sell up and move to a property on a hill at least 30m above sea level. ;D

Meh, I’ll likely be dead by the time it gets really bad

So, can we have them together please? Maybe we’ll get some water we can swim in

Little glimpse into the future : it won’t. Good luck. We still can’t even handle a little bit of snow.

The really fun part in all of this is that the area most at risk from flooding (Lincolnshire) is the one with climate change deniers in charge, woo hoo!

and yet we’re still building houses without aircon, and with a gas supply like it’s still 1970.

Worth noting that the prediction of 2 degrees by 2050 is at the top of the already basically impossible RCP8.5 scenario.

A little bit of literacy on climate topics go a long way. This is about as likely as saying we should prepare for climate change to stop tomorrow.

Cool, we’re definitely going to heed this advice and try to build less, import fewer people and not endlessly grow our population while we face all of this, right? Right??
