Mi chiedo sempre perché il 90% del confine di Tbilisi è composto solo da praterie e pianure e non solo, ma i veri luoghi boscosi sembrano un po’ artificiali al di fuori di Mtatsminda, so che potrei essere molto stupido per non sapere tutto questo, ma qual è il motivo per cui Tbilisi è così ed è possibile riforfestarsi lì.

Mtatsminda forest was also planted in 1930s, old photos and drawings show it as a bare hill with just Mamadaviti halfway up. But I think your answer is sheep— forests don’t grow where sheep graze, they eat everything. Some areas could have been deforested for firewood or by fire at some point and then sheep kept it bare afterwards
the south(weste)ern end of tbilisi, the areas around tskneti/kojori are very forested, but yes apart from that rather bare
