Who would choose to be a Police Officer in the UK in 2025

    2. Hold on. Was this the woman that refused to produce a ticket or card to the driver/ inspector and then the police because she didn’t think anyone should have the temerity to ask her . Was held by the arm to stop her walking off and then finally after wasting everyone’s time produced the card after being arrested? Maybe not – but if so then the description seems factual.

      Sensible decision.

Police officer shouldn’t be calling members of the public names.

But they shouldn’t lose their job if they get it wrong under pressure.

    4. Just a reminder for everyone to be weary of misleading headlines. It does not say he was found guilty of misconduct BECAUSE he called her that.

This journalism trend is getting really annoying and kind of dangerous. It’s always ‘Person arresting for *some crime* after *doing something odd, but not illegal thing*’, implying that the odd thing is what they were arrested for.

    5. This reminds me of that time that Gordon Brown called that woman a bigot.

I mean same thing would happen in any job, not sure why this is a news story.

I think i would be sacked in my first week if that’s grounds for misconduct.

Having to regularly deal with the public when they are on their absolute worst behavior must absolutely break a person.
