On a separate note, I am curious to hear your opinions about a thought I was entertaining: what if voting in Armenia becomes mandatory? With modern technologies, it is possible to reliably organize it for people outside of the country as well.

Some other interesting findings of the survey

Elderly people are much more likely to support the government than youths. 30 percent of the elderly would vote for the current government, compared to 12 percent of the youth. Rural residents are also more likely to vote for QP than urban ones, 21 percent vs 18. Men (25 percent) are more likely to vote for QP than women (19 percent).

Damn – that lineup is what’ll keep Nikol in power.

      Let’s see…. we have

      1. Nikol with all his faults and issues we have today – the border security, attenpts of power consolidation, etc…

      2. A russian Oligarch who stole from state budget, left the army to rot, sold infrastructure to Russia, used the army on streets of Yerevan against protestors in 2008.

      3. A Russian oligarch who most likely also laundered money, benefitted from the sale of Armenian infrastructure to Russia and so on.

      4. I guess an Armenian Oligarch with a history of bribing voters, ties to Kocharyan and just generally stupid.

      Such choice, much wow.

Pashinyan will win, regardless of his catastrophic failures. He’s ridiculously good at propaganda. Karapetyan is incarcerated and has virtually no experience in politics, Kocharyan had his fair share of fucking the country, and Tsarukyan is flat out incompetent. Honestly, one is worse than the other.
