Really nice photo.
Lappajärvi’s an interesting place in that it’s been shown to be a meteor impact crater; about 80 million years old, so somewhat predating the Cretaceous event that killed the dinosaurs.
They wouldn’t have known this at the time this photo was taken; the lake was long suspected to be an extinct volcano. They even had a music festival called Tulivuorirock (“Volcano Rock”) by the lake until recently.
